My favorite dish here is ginger salmon over citrus salad. The flavors of the grilled salmon are just incredible! And the salad is wonderful as well. They also have the best ginger tea I've ever had. I've been coming here for years and it's still amazing! I highly recommend this spot!

I ordered take out (the garlic beef noodles). The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were plentiful. I love Thai food and this place is definitely going to be my new go to spot. There goes my diet and washboard abs.

Rainy days call for awesome SOUP! Finally ordered my sister's fav - Hot & Sour w/chicken (to go). I asked for it spicy but should've said "extra" like she orders it. The avocado rolls are a must for me every time, and the peanut sauce, to die for. Thank you CC for being here, you are truly a SF Haight staple for me. Xoxo

If you're hungry... The portions are enormous and they don't skimp on ingredients. Sweet Thai Basil Shrimp ($17.95) with large shrimp and some vegetables -especially carrots- and a heaping plate of chicken teriyaki ($14.95) that was so delicious. The green beans and tofu in garlic sauce ($9.95) would've been better had I chosen the option of wok tossed versus the fried tofu I ordered. The tofu was tough and chewy and the dish, overly sauced with what tasted like the same sauce as my Thai Basil Shrimp main. My son's groaning plate of chicken teriyaki was the winner with udon garlic noodles. He also wisely ordered the lychee iced tea which, while very sweet, was tasty. It would pair well with a very spicy dish. While I wasn't wow'd by the overly sweet sauce of two dishes nor the yellowing broccoli in my shrimp dish, they got most of it right and the service was attentive and pleasant.

I placed an order via door dash from the citrus club. I was shocked to see such a low rating here when DD has them at 4.8! Anyway I got the teriyaki chicken with garlic noodles as well as Pho-Ga Chicken Noodle Soup. Both were very delicious! The broth of the Pho was so creamy and rich, I could have drank gallons of that alone!! The teriyaki chicken had great flavor and the garlic noodles were delicious. Huge portions and quick service even with waiting on delivery. I would definitely order again and highly recommend trying here yourself!

I've been coming back for years now they have some of the best hot and sour soup I've ever had! The portions are great and you leave satisfied every time! They have a variety of different noodles that I want to try but I always go to my default. Service is quick and they bring your food out fairly quick, ambience is good for catching up with friends or even a date.

It was all very very delicious. Homey, Thai style flavors and filling. Very delicious, very flavorful, quantity and quality. 5 stars

I'm not sure where the 'citrus' comes into the picture because this is a straight-up Vietnamese eatery. It may speak to a former identity as a bar, but I wouldn't know since I'm not a Haight historian. I just noticed when I entered the premises that it looked like a cleaned-up dive bar. Instead of heading for the exit during these pandemic times, I just sat at an empty cafe table where I was promptly handed a menu.. There was just one family at a booth several feet away, so I felt relatively safe. Perusing the menu in a Ho Chi Minh City minute, I went for my standard two-dish Vietnamese order. The $8.95 Fresh Shrimp Spring Rolls hit the spot as the expected ingredients were tightly packed in their rice paper wrapper, and they indeed tasted fresh with a generous cup of thick peanut sauce to allow for excessive dipping (photo: https://bit.ly/3l2hDA2). My main event was the $11.95 Pho-Ga Chicken Noodle Soup, a laboriously ovrrdescribed bowl countered by the fact that it was a deliciously full-belly chicken pho with plenty of poultry and noodles. Thus the name (photo: https://bit.ly/2Yl3hSM). So I guess I can't judge a book by its cover or overuse a tired cliché. Were it not for the sandwich board on the sidewalk, I would've thought this was a bar populated with stoners and souses, but no, I've got a place in the Haight to get my pho on. FOOD - 4 stars...satisfying spring rolls and chicken pho AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...still looks like a dive bar but who cares SERVICE - 4 stars...friendly and attentive TOTAL - 4 stars...don't look for citrus here RELATED - Exploring the Haight?
